Privacy policy

nicereps does not collect, transmit or sell any personal data. buildnice never receives your data.
What stays on your phone
Workouts, templates, measurements, progress photos and settings are stored only on your device. The app has no account, no server, no analytics, no ads and no third-party tracking, and it makes no network requests.
When data leaves your phone
Only when you choose to:
- Export and share. Exporting data or sharing a workout image sends it through your phone’s share sheet to the app or place you pick.
- Automatic backup. If you set a backup folder in Settings, the app saves a full export there when you set it and after each finished workout: on Android, a folder you choose; on iOS, the app’s own folder in the Files app. Where it goes from there depends on that folder, for example a cloud-synced one.
- Device backup. Your phone’s own backup (Android backup or iCloud) may include app data, under your Google or Apple account settings.
Importing reads only the file you pick; nothing is sent anywhere.
Permissions
- Camera and photos: to take or pick progress photos. Photos are copied into the app’s own storage (on iOS, its folder in the Files app) and are not added to your photo library. They keep any details stored in the original file, such as where it was taken, and exports include them.
- Notifications: rest-timer alerts while the app is in the background, and planned-workout reminders if you turn them on.
- Exact alarms (Android): so the rest-timer alert sounds on time.
The app never uses the microphone or your location.
App stores
Google Play and the App Store handle downloads and may collect data under their own privacy policies. buildnice does not receive it.
Deleting your data
Use Settings → Erase all local data, or uninstall the app. Erasing does not delete exports or the backup file. Uninstalling also removes the iOS backup, because it is in the app’s own folder; copies in your phone’s backup stay until that backup is removed.
Changes
Changes to this policy are posted on this page with a new effective date.
